What is Indie Cross?

Indie Cross typically refers to a fan-made crossover project that brings together characters from various indie games into one universe, often in the form of mods, animations, or games.

Cuphead is the titular protagonist of the video game of the same name. Cuphead is Mugman's irresponsible older twin brother and like the rest of his family, lives on Inkwell Isle. He is usually played by the first player and as a result, was the default character for Player One before the update in April 2019, after which the first player can choose whether to play as him or Mugman.

Frisk is the playable character, main protagonist, and the eighth human in Undertale. After falling into the Underground, they venture to return to the surface, whether neutrally, genocidally, or peacefully.

Madeline, the main protagonist of Celeste, is a young woman with anxiety and depression who endeavors to climb Celeste Mountain. During her climb, she encounters several characters, including a personification of her self-doubt, which the community has named Badeline, who attempts to stop her from reaching the mountain's summit.

Niko is the playable protagonist of OneShot. They are a child tasked with returning the sun to the Tower and saving the World from dying out.

Shovel Knight is the titular protagonist of the video game of the same name. This chivalrous adventurer is trying to stop The Enchantress from taking over the Valley and find his beloved Shield Knight, lost to the Tower of Fate.

The Beheaded, also known as The Prisoner or the Fallen One, is the protagonist of Dead Cells. It is a gelatinous creature with a single glowing eye that can control human corpses. The Beheaded prefers to possess headless bodies that it is used to possessing instead of moving around without one.

The Drifter, referred to on his tarot card as "The Magician", is the main playable character in Hyper Light Drifter. He is a member of the feline Blu species who has been infected with a strange terminal disease. The Drifter came to the Land of Light from the Northern Realms and travels the new continent in search of a cure.

The Knight, a discarded Vessel, is the protagonist to Hollow Knight. They are the child of the Pale King and the White Lady, born in the Abyss with Void inside their shell. Hornet is the Knight's sister through their shared father. Like the rest of their Vessel siblings, the Knight is genderless.

V1 is a Supreme Machine, left to roam the Earth after the extinction of mankind, and the player character of ULTRAKILL. Like other machines, it fights in Hell for its own desperate survival after blood ran out on the surface, slaying all manner of husks, demons, angels, and other machines in order to sustain itself with the blood they shed.
