The Glowing Ores texture pack modifies all ore textures to include emissive properties, causing them to glow faintly in darkness. This includes all vanilla ore types such as coal, iron, gold, diamond, emerald, lapis lazuli, redstone, copper, quartz, and nether gold ores, as well as their deepslate variants and ancient debris.

The pack uses Minecraft's texture set system to add metalness and emissive roughness maps to each ore, creating a realistic glowing effect that maintains the original texture appearance while adding the illumination feature. The glow is subtle enough to preserve the game's atmosphere but significant enough to make ores more visible during mining expeditions.
